Although INGOA and specifically the INGOA foundation have moved away from providing academic scholarships and focused on providing grants to attend the State and National Conferences both organizations want to educate and provide information on other scholarships, this page will continue to expand as we see opportunities educate our members on scholarship opportunities.

NGAUS has three scholarship we want to make you aware of (see the NGAUS website for more information and application procedures).

NGAUS has teamed up with the University of Phoenix to offer three full-tuition master’s degree scholarships to association members who are current National Guardsmen in the rank of lieutenant colonel or below. Commissioned and warrant officers only. Recipients may choose to attend online or at a University of Phoenix on-ground campus. The application period closed April 11. The Van Hipp Heroes Scholarship Fund

Van Hipp donates 100% of his proceeds from his new book, The New Terrorism: How to Fight It and Defeat It (link is external) to The Van Hipp Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund which will award scholarships to Guardsmen wounded in action in the War on Terror. The deadline to apply is July 1. This initiative is administered by the National Guard Educational Foundation.

Leonardo DRS Guardian Scholarship Fund

Since September 11, 2001, nearly 800 Guardsmen have made the ultimate sacrifice in support of the Global War on Terrorism. These heroes left behind more than 1,000 children. Established in 2011 and underwritten by Leonardo DRS, the Leonardo DRS Guardian Scholarship Fund provides college scholarships to the children of National Guardsmen who have been lost in service to our nation since 9/11.
