Neck Coolers
-
Volunteers have sewn and
assembled headband/neck coolers that are used by the soldiers to
keep their foreheads and necks cool while working in temperatures in
excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Once activated the bands remain
cool for approximately eight hours and can be reactivated by soaking
them in water again.
-
To date, 800 of the
headband/neck coolers have been made and distributed to the troops
that are deployed from Iowa to Iraq
