The Iowa National Guard Officers Association (INGOA) is pleased to offer four different levels of business membership which are available to businesses and organizations that embrace our association's values and want to support our cause.
We have experienced a significant evolution in the way the United States Military defends this great nation and the freedom we all enjoy. Part of that evolution has been a dynamic expansion in the role of the National Guard at home and abroad. Nowhere has this been more evident than here in Iowa, where the deployed percentage of our available Guardsmen is among the highest in the country. This is due to our high level of readiness that was only achieved because our Guard members receive an amazing level of support from their employers. That is why we decided the time is right to open our doors and formalize our ties with business and industry.
Our association plays a vital role in promoting and supporting the Iowa National Guard in furtherance of its mission, both Federal and State. We provide thousands of dollars in scholarships to help worthy students each year. We lobby our lawmakers to provide benefits that enhance readiness and entice Iowans to stay in Iowa. We help sponsor an icebreaker for aspiring officers to meet with prospective Iowa employers. We host an Annual Recognition Dinner to recognize officers that retired from the National Guard during the previous year with at least twenty years of service. We also recognize key members of the community and Association Members through our Awards Program.
Our association has a strong affiliation with the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS). We have a solid reputation at the national level, and have been a 100% membership state for an incredible 23 years in a row. Finally, Iowa also has a long history of members serving on the national board.
We ask you to consider joining our Association, and be counted as a proud supporter of the Iowa National Guard Association Team. Select the level of membership that is right for you on the Business Membership Application form. Members that join by March 14th, 2008 will be recognized in the program for the 44th Annual Recognition Dinner on March 29, 2008. Business members are invited to attend the dinner by completing the dinner reservation on the back of their corporate membership form. If you wish to display at our Association meeting as simply a vendor or a member, please complete the Vendor Contract. If questions, I am at (515) 473-5638. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Shawn Oglesby Corporate Member Chair, INGOA
